Because you’ve a body
you also have a name
and birthdate, an address
and may be driving license
or a passport.
As a human being
you can go to school,
get a job or raise a family
or participate in your
local community ---
it is lovely to have a passport
and see places
but at the root of your roots
you are not local.
you are not limited
to a particular geographical location
you are universal and timeless and when
you proclaim you are not your body
it is not self-denial.
You are not running away
from yourself.
You are rather getting
out of the way so that
the bonfire in your heart
can burn infinitely and beyond
all borders.
