why satisfied with your hourly compensation and the knowledge you borrowed from the world? none of these can guarantee you a true happiness - move deeper my friend - there is an unadulterated and pure nectar waiting to be tasted and experienced fully.

the perfume

at least once a day look at your body and be grateful for it holds a perfume from the absolute and the perfume holds the entire cosmos.

listen to the rain

Why talk to me about enlightenment or an altered state or bliss? Don’t have you have other things to say? Or cannot you just be silent for a minute and listen to the rain? look at how the wind picks up a dry leaf to play with it - or how a baby next door bursts with aliveness for no reason – look at how the moon is more beautiful as darkness around her grows deeper. Then what do you call this thing that blazes inside of you like a thousand milky ways even when your body is exhausted and in deep sleep?

being compassionate

how do you know you are awake? you don't get weary of being compassionate towards all things including yourself - whatever name you're given, it cannot contain you. you are too large to fit anywhere. it is not you who is thirsty for water - it is water that is thirsty for you.
