The snow is confused by beauty

Minnesota wakes up into a grey morning.
It was warming up a little
and the snow on the ground
was melting, was melting away
like happy human hearts
or like tongues losened by drunkeness.
Tree branches were decorated with little frosts.
Was that why the trees looked dreamy or fully awake?
When I walked by
I suddenly caught the flame of aliveness.
I know this is not a daydream
Even the snow is confused by beauty.

  1. A special aliveness seems to be present this day. Outside my window birds already are gathering. Their delicate touch beauty itself.
