waiting for a friend

I was waiting for a friend
in a college cafeteria –
In truth, I was not waiting for anyone.
I was just watching how
a forest can bloom when it touches
its own warmth.
In the next room
Philosophers and theologians
and scholars were busy discussing
about God.
My friend, only when you are
Willing to close your eyes
and dissolve into your heartfire,
You can satisfy your deepest
longing.
