The apple

A gust of wind blew an apple from a tree  and
In no time, squirells circled the fleshy, innocent fruit and begun to devour it with appetite of  the wolves.

The apple said:
Slow down my friends. I am not going any where.
I am only going back to the source, where I came from.
Now this journey is taking me a little longer than I expected:
I have to pass through your esophagus first, then your stomach, your intestine and finally your rectum.
(I trust, you guys have a rectum).
That’s still fine with me. Who said shortcuts are always better?
The squirrels were too hungry to listen or to hear.
