Q - In your insight do you think a devil or demon exist? If they do what is it? What are they?
A – yes a devil or a demon exists. You can give it different names. It does not matter. It is not an enemy to fight and destroy. It simply is the part of us that is not recognized and accepted. It is our own limitation. It is a repressed energy field, the power in you that has been denied a full expression. That is when you try to build a fence around the moon in your heart so that the moon cannot shine with her full potential or when we build a dam to stop the flow of the river. So when this energy is accumulated and stored or pushed into a dark cave, it builds up to become an enormous pain and suffering.

those who follow instructions

Those who follow
instructions,
will be lead
to a familiar world
filled with repetitive
and small talks .
those who follow the
source of their laughter
will fly towards their
highest call.
They will speak a new language
and their soft lips become the
heart burning with greater
understanding.

Aroma of the Ultimate

when your happiness
no longer depends on
conditions, it is original
and organic and it cannot
be stolen.
you've merged with the aroma
of the Ultimate transcending
your limited identity
the way sugar gives up
its individuality, its 
sugarness, to merge
with the ocean.

all of yourself

forget everything else
for now -
wherever you go,
bring all of yourself
with you.
that is a true service
to mankind and yourself.

the kernel of poetry

How is it possible
for you to write poetry every day?
a friend asks –
I am not the one who is
making poetry -
I’ve fully dissolved into
the ancient one
deep inside of me
and creativity happens
on its own and elegance
comes down and kisses
the face of humanity.
I’ve become a fecund
rain falling down
on the parched lips
of this sweet earth,
I've become a fertile soil
from which the kernel
of poetry erupt.

It is not true

It is not true
to say you love
a tree or the moon
or a forest
without merging
 and dissolving
into it completely.

being truly yourself

it is not
by making effort
or striving hard to
be like some body
but by simply
being truly yourself
and empty of ego,
you can touch someone
and flowering happens.

diamond-seeker

You are not a diamond-seeker
You are the diamond and the
Universe itself expands and contracts
inside your breath.
let every moment of your life
be this music we cannot repeat again.
Let go of your fear and 
be an opening so that grace
can enter you from every direction.

what you really desire

when I was in high school
I really wanted to be a linguist
or a historian.
instead I went to a library school -
Some times it is good when
what you really desire
does not happen because at the
end of the day it may
not support your journey
to awakening and it does
not help for your inner
illumination.

a being that is not holy

My soul has flown with
the birds and caressed the face
of the sky,
dived into the heart of the oceans
and felt the coral reefs,
trekked the deserts –
climbed the mountains,
travelled to the end of the earth –
and could not find
a thing that is not sweet,
a being that is not holy -

does truth care?

Does truth care 
what you look like?
how old you are
Does she care 
what you do for a living?
does she really care 
how educated you are?
she only wants you to be
who you are without fear
or doubt 
then she is not only your companion and
comrade - 
She is one with you

listen deeply

listen deeply
not to the dialog
in your mind.
listen to the
deep music in your heart
and don’t be tired
of listening again and again.
The inner guidance, the power
of the great intelligence 
will lead you to the
place you really 
want to go.

practicing presence

Practicing 
presence on a regular
basis does not prevent
trials from happening.
Trials will continue to happen
but they will not annoy or 
shake you any longer.

Someone asked a question this morning and as always I wanted to share it here with you. It is a question many people want to ask but are afraid of asking or knowing.

Someone asked me

how old I am.

It was not easy to

find the answer.

I am here before

the birth of time and  reason –

before the universe exploded

moved by her own beauty.

I am a timeless

message of wisdom carried

around in the infinite rivers

of love

and yet every sunrise

and every single spring

I am beginner of life

 and have  not received a certificate

of completion because

there is nothing to complete

and nothing to explain

to anyone.  

 

living with all your being

Even a tiny
fraction of doubt lingering
in your heart could
block you from
living with all your being
and loving fully.
Remembering that doubt
Is only mind-created activity
and it is not real
can open you up to the shining
light and a consuming fire
of love. 
that will bring you
to the door of 
the sun, which
is your own heart from
where Lotus is 
birthed forth again

generational pain

Ending a continuous generational pain 
or past trauma requires a courage to 
wake up and return to your true nature. 
Most people make excuses and wait
until certain conditions are met –
they wait until their children grow up
they wait until they finish their school
or move to a different city and 
meet someone who loves them –
none of these are true because
awakening does not happen inside
time for time itself is an illusion.
It can happen only in this moment,
Right now. May be you don’t even need
to wake up. There is already something
awake deep inside you. You only need to
recognize it as your eternal nature

the eternal

If you want to see 
the eternal,
the ultimate truth --
in all things, 
be willing to
be consumed with
the fire of the 
divine love.

deep into your heart-center

your parents can
teach you how to behave well
and be a good child.
schools can teach you
how to be a great professional
or a good businessman -
it is only your courage
and readiness that can
take you deep into your heart-center
and discover a fragrant flower
covered with the dust
of fear and doubt.

Jesus when he proclaimed

 he and the father

When you build your self-image
by the labels people give you,
you are going to be insecure
and unstable because people’s
opinion can change depending
on their mood and energy level.
Look deep inside beyond labels
You are the ocean, free
and ever-flowing, unbreakable,
whole and creative life-force.
and this is you and
it never changes -

inner light

Don’t regret
how much you have
been tender to yourself
and everyone else –
You will pass through
this world like light
Look how a flower 
gives itself to the seed
and evaporates into
infinity.
Don’t be ashamed
of being innocent -
every path takes you
to your inner light.

why wait for a coupon

why wait for a coupon
or a discount or any
special sale?
Be willing to buy the
beloved with every single
fiber of life.

mystical dimension

a society

that has not yet realized

its mystical dimension can be

very dangerous.

Only when we start to see

every plant and every animal

 and  every human not as an enemy

but as pure,  simple and elegant

extension of the eternal,

we can save the planet

from complete disintegration
or at least we will stop
messing up with her.

 

if you want to be alive

If you want to be alive
move away from cliché –
hung out with those
who are ravaged 
with love so that
you will know
who you really are –
don’t wait for anyone
a friend is already here.
You are a fragrant forest 
and a wine as well as 
a cup. Drink yourself and cleanse
your throat from past
memory so that you
can sing of only this 
light and this love and 
this inner, dazzling sun.

entry into happiness

Why travel for miles
looking for happiness?
your own heart
is the entry into happiness, 
Where you can touch
who you are 
at the most intimate
level.

the outer eye

To the outer eye
you are an individual
and independent and separate -
To the inner eye
you are a ten thousand beings
joined by a single beam
of light.

until you merge

It does not matter
if you’ve been meditating
and praying for thirty or
fifty years –
You still would not know
what to do with your anger
or worries, until you
merge with love fully.

Black or white

Black or white
good or bad are just labels and concepts,
the games the mind likes to play.
it is like the name your parents
have given you upon birth.
when you take it seriously
you will suffer
If you tell me you are Debra or 
Joshua, I will keep badgering you
until you tell me your true name,
I will keep knocking on your door
until the door becomes the heart
opens, until your wings remember
how to fly again. 
That is how life cares for you
my dear friend.

the light in your heart

If you are in great
pain -
remember that this too
shall pass -
if you are having
a great time,
remember that this too
shall pass -
only the light in your
heart, who you are on the
deepest level
remains,

every path

and it is filled with wine and Jesus

 and holy flame and sunflowers ---

 

 

hidden elegance

what is beauty?
a hidden elegance that
nourishes us and gives us 
the strength to live in the
present moment -
that becomes a large space to
contain us until we stand on
this ground with the mind
that is still, with the heart
that is tender and alive, 
with the soul that shines
like a child's innocent
eyes -
and to this we become
grateful and surrender forever
as one divine song of life.

fences between neighbors

everyone is busy toiling
outside to keep themselves
busy, to run away from 
what can refine them - -
cutting grasses, rearranging 
plants, decorating the yard and 
putting up fences between
neighbors.
only a mystic lover
stays inside, breaking
the topsoil, turning over the 
ground, tossing clatters and
opening more space for love -
his garden is in his heart.

untouched road

If you are preoccupied
with your daily routine
and forget What really matters in
your life, Just remember that you are
Here and breathing –
and out of your breathing
a fresh and untouched road
emerges.

upheavals

If you are moving
through upheavals and 
structures around you
come down crashing , it is
because life is sending a text
message to show you that
all structures are
shaky and unstable.
Look deep inside and 
notice that there is 
a ground that is stable and calm.
That ground is your true
nature. It has no form
or name. It has no birth
or death. It is pure aliveness
which is fully awake even
when your body and mind
are in deep sleep. It is 
a resting ground that never
rests.
