We are not here to live 400 years-
but to live from the heart,
to live inside our breath -
to sleep without dreams
and wake up without fear -

we are here
to learn how to fall from
the cliffs of existence
and to rise from
our own wreckage –

to move through each day
and night like water moves
through a canal.

We are here to sing of love
and gratitude even when
