To your own breath
do you say "Where are you?"
Do you say to your own breath,
 "you've forsaken me"?
Something like your breath or the light in your eyes,
 or the sharpness in your seeing
 is so close and so subtle
we cannot see it.
You might feel it intimately
or if you have the courage to go deeper
you might even touch it.
Yes,we cannot see what is so close
to us, so dear to us, like for instance
the heart of the earth
Beloved one, you are so close to
me like that, you are so close
to me that I cannot even describe you.
